Webmasters beware of image copyright infringement

You must have used images obtained from the internet, like Google image search, and used in your websites. If you say you never did, then either you don't have a website or you are telling open lies. It is so deeply rooted that every one of us, whether knowingly or unknowingly, have, some time in our lives, infringed image copyrights. It is very normal and very common in new and even long time webmasters that images are obtained and used from image search engines. Some proud webmasters claim they never did this. Its actually their ego that holds them from accepting a basic truth and sometimes they deny due to fear or law.

Every day, millions of webmasters around the globe use hundreds and thousands of images in their web pages, blogs, forums etc. Each image has a copyright and it is thus being infringed. Its a daily process. Directly or indirectly, the image search engines are contributing and encouraging to this copyright infringement process.

In such a scenario as this, here's an interesting 'earn money online' scheme being popular day by day. Some people actually run families and made riches from copyright infringement lawsuits. Are you wondering how?

Well, it's so easy! Grab your camera and roam around and just keep shooting interesting photos. Use a software which allows editing of Image properties and set your copyright info in the images (this is not a must, but will be better). Then, keep posting them on the Internet. Don't forget to track those images. Very soon you'll find your images being used by many webmasters. Track these webmasters, find out more about them.

Now, target the webmasters, issue a threatening letter regarding infringement of your copyrights. Usually most qualifying webmasters will ask for an out-of-court settlement. Thus, keep making money!

Some webmasters will dare you; ok no problem, hire a lawyer and put the case to court, copyright infringement lawsuits can sometimes fetch up to $1,50,000! Some people are really making good money with this scheme.

How minimize risk of photo copyright infringement? Never use any image whose copyright info is not clearly known. Avoid image search engines. Either buy images from stock photo selling sites, or find a free-to-use image. If there's a watermark on the images, never remove or blur it. Never put your name or website's name so that it seems like the photo is yours - others may use it and you'll face more severe charges at that time.

Buy images, rather than paying huge penalties. Respect other people's copyrights and get back some respect.

My small blog here doesn't use any image at all. This is a all-text-inside blog.
