Want to earn from Hubpages? Why not try yourself?

A wish to earn from Hubpages is possessed by many internet users who want to monetize their writing skills. But there is a tough truth which everyone must know, everyone who wants to earn through 'writing skills' online. Big community websites only provide you with some basic exposure to a high volume of web traffic and nothing more than that. There is some need to analyze this point.

The high web traffic which visits these big community sites every day should be broadly divided into two major segments. One segment consists of people who contribute to these sites with a desire to earn - they will never look at other people's content and will never be the source of your income. Another segment is the actual reader volume.

This segment of the web traffic comes to the site from search engines, social webs, back links etc. This volume of reader traffic visits specific pages only, not all. Because, they aren't content scanning robots.

So, if you are thinking that you will write in Hubpages, web traffic will follow and you'll get clicks on your ads - you are in a sweet dream. There is nothing Hubpages can do for you in this regard, YOU alone can make it possible. But how?

You have to drive in more and more genuine web traffic into your Hubs. After you publish an article, you got to build back links from other websites. You will need to have an already popular social page where you can send updates about your new Hub. So on and so forth. You have to do every possible task which will drive traffic into your Hubs.

Sounds crazy? It is! Someone asked me, "if I am to do all these and there is no advantage from Hubpages, then why not do it for my own domain & blog?"

Correct! That's the point! If you're building back links, popularizing hubs in social webs and doing all sorts of hard work to popularize your hubs - you are actually toiling hard for Hubpages. This way, Hubpages gains more than you.

Imagine 10,000 members working hard to popularize their Hubs? Those are actually Hubpages page after all, not yours. They own the pages, not you. And, you don't earn all the revenue, they take a big share by putting their own ads.

So you see, as a Hubpages member you will work for them and increase their Alexa rank and their inner page rank, they will take big share of your revenue - what or how much is your share?

Well well, in my opinion, it is much better to grab your own domain name and buy a web hosting package or simply sign up with Google Blogger and get your free hosting in Google's servers. Thus, earn 100% for what you work so hard. Thus, every bit of your labor will reward yourself and nobody else.

Unlike Flixya where you can share anybody else's photo/video content, in Hubpages you can only publish your own content. It must not be copied from elsewhere. Plagiarism is discouraged on Hubpages, copied contents are deleted. So Hubpages enriches their own page quality also. So why give your uniqueness to someone else and make them unique? All that is yours, should be yours!
